Supporting the coordination of the implementation of the MEDIGREEN project, a regional European Commission-funded initiative supporting the implementation of the European Green Deal through enhanced regional and sub-regional cooperation on Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) in the Mediterranean.
Responsible for technical and strategic activities across multiple partner countries. This includes supervising thematic work packages, overseeing the preparation and quality assurance of technical deliverables, coordinating regional workshops and policy dialogues, and maintaining structured reporting to the European Commission.
Facilitating cooperation among national authorities, research institutions and regional organisations across the Mediterranean, promoting MSP as a governance tool to balance sustainable blue economy development with biodiversity conservation and ecosystem-based management.
Key achievements include strengthening cross-basin cooperation, advancing policy coherence between environmental and maritime sectors, and contributing to the integration of biodiversity considerations into MSP processes at the regional scale.
